John Ross Hosts Draft Party at Sheakley Boys & Girls Club
On April 26th 2017 First-Round NFL Draft pick and Bengals wide receiver, John Ross III, hosted a “Draft Night Party” with club members of the Sheakley Boys & Girls Club in Price Hill. The party will started with a special dinner sponsored by Jet’s Pizza, followed by games, fitness activities, and the opportunity for kids to engage with and get to know John during a Q&A discussion.
John Ross stated, “Draft night is an incredibly special night for me that brings up many great memories. I am so excited to be spending the one-year anniversary of the night that changed my life forever by creating new memories with the children from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati.”
About John Ross III: A native of Long Beach, California, John Ross III played his college football career at the University of Washington. Selected First Team All-Pac-12 during his time there, he was best known as a dynamic playmaking wide receiver with prolific speed and agility. Going into the 2017 NFL Draft, Ross made national headlines as he broke the NFL Draft Combine 40-yard dash record with a blazing-fast time of 4.22 seconds. He was drafted ninth overall by the Cincinnati Bengals, where he spent this past NFL season studying behind AJ Green. Ross is the father of a young son and enjoys empowering and mentoring youth in his hometown and Cincinnati through his foundation.
