Carlos Dunlap Speaks to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati about the Effects of Bullying
Most Valuable Kids and the Carlos Dunlap Foundation joined the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Cincinnati on Monday, September 18th to establish a culture of acceptance, tolerance, and respect throughout the Clubs and the Greater Cincinnati community. Carlos Dunlap read excerpts from the book, “Malik the Difference Maker” by LaMarque D. Ward Sr. and spoke to the kids about bully prevention and the importance of supporting one another, at the Findlay Street Boys & Girls Club in the West End.
Author, Ward Sr., was inspired to write the fictional story after his daughter and her friend experienced bullying in high school. The story teaches kids the importance of forgiveness rather than retaliation and how forgiveness can create a culture of kindness and encouragement.
Findlay St. Boys & Girls Club was the first stop on Dunlap’s Anti-Bullying Campaign.
